Bettina von Zwehl is a photographer that is known for her subtle and distinctive photographic portraits. Bettina von Zwehl was born in Munich on 1971. Bettina von Zwehl seeks out different ways of exploring photography. Examples of her work are 'Made up Love song' 2011 (image 1) and 'Ruby’s room' 2013 (image 2).
One of her works that interested me is the dark room works, where Bettina von Zwehl takes pictures of an individual in a dark room with their arms crossed and sitting in the same position listening to music for 10 minutes (image 3). She does this in order to capture the individuals feelings at the time. I find this to be very interesting as you can capture emotion properly through the use of different types of music.
